Phil Janus, Founder and President  

Salesengineering.com was founded by Phil Janus, a seasoned sales engineering manager with 25+ years experience in the high-tech industry including 18 years in sales engineering.  He has a Masters of Computer Science and has been an evening-school adult-education college instructor for ten years.  Phil's Sales Engineering career began at Sybase as one of its first 100 employees where he evolved and honed his skills for nearly 8 years.  He applied his SE organizational skills at UniSQL and Siemens Pyramid prior to founding salesengineering.com in 1997.

Joe Winthrop, VP of Sales  

Joe is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in a variety of executive sales positions including hardware, software, services, and indirect channels at organizations such as Keane, Coopers and Lybrand, Sybase, Information Advantage, Marathon, and Virtual Access Networks. 
His mix of sales backgrounds is well suited to growing our Business Development organization.

MJ Kahn, Senior Product Manager  


MJ has over twenty-five years of experience in both project management and software development.  She served as Vice President, Software Development at ICG Computer, and as Director, Application Development both at InfoMedics, and Vignette Corporation.  At SyberWorks, MJ was Vice President of Engineering, leading all of the company's software development efforts.  At Sybase, as Director of Professional Services, MJ managed all of Sybase's professional services efforts in the Northeast US.  While there, MJ held management positions in Engineering and Marketing Product Management.  At salesengineering.com, MJ is leading the design and development of SEapplications, an architectural family of unique web-based SE productivity applications.
